ABUJA, Nigeria — Terrorists and extremists in Nigeria continue their onslaught against Christians, killing at least 65 people and abducting more than 145 in March.
On March 24–25, Muslim Fulani herdsmen and terrorists raided communities in Kaduna state, killing an estimated 50 Christians and abducting about 100, reports Morning Star News. The Rev. Felix Fidson Zakari, a priest, was kidnapped at gunpoint.
On March 31 in Kaduna state’s Angwan Bulus village, armed terrorists killed three Christians and wounded three others. Just three days prior, nine Christians were slain in five different villages in the state. Six people were injured and the Rev. Joseph Aketo Bako, a priest, was abducted.
Fulani kidnapped two individuals in Angwan Barde village March 30. Fulani also killed three Christians in Benue state March 23. A dozen were wounded. (Earlier in March, more than 20 others were slain in that state.) In Niger state March 26–27, armed bandits collaborating with Fulani kidnapped 45 Christians from six villages. One of those abducted was the Rev. Leo Raphael Ozigi.
Nigeria is No. 7 on Open Doors’ 2022 World Watch List of places most difficult to be a Christian.
