Retired pastor Kenneth Wayne Pinegar died April 24. He was 86.
Pinegar served in the U.S. Navy, worked in the oil fields of Texas for three years and delivered for Dairy Fresh and Merita Bread.
He held a bachelor’s degree from Samford University and master of theology from Southern Bible Seminary, Kansas City, Missouri. He served several churches including Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Sulligent; New Hope Baptist Church, Winfield; Sharon Heights Baptist Church, Birmingham; West Side Baptist Church, Kokomo, Indiana; Berry Baptist Church; and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Hamilton.
He taught Samford extension classes, now known as Ministry Training Institute, and led numerous revivals.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
