Title: Worship Arts Associate
Purpose of Position: To assist overall Worship Arts Ministries with a focus on bands and Next Generation areas.
Relates Closely with: Worship Arts Team
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruit, Shepherd, and Equip Rhythm Players at Ingleside
• Coordinate bands for services and events
• Recruit potential players
• Help coach and grow players and singers in their skills
2. Help Write and Arrange Music
• Know and use Ableton, ProTools, and other software tools
• Help arrange music and charts as requested
• Pursue song-writing if gifted in that area
• Help with creative and functional recording projects
3. Student Sessions Leadership
• Work with Worship Arts Team to lead students vocally and instrumentally
• Help prepare students for worship leadership
• Participate in Sessions Tour as requested
4. Lead in Worship Arts Pastor’s Absence
• Sunday Morning worship leadership
• Rehearsal Leadership as requested
5. Help Lead Musical Worship in Other Events
• Staff meeting leadership as requested
• Men/Women’s Ministry leadership as requested
• Other ministries as assigned or requested
6. Production Ministry as Requested
• Know basic production ministry tasks
• Help train other production team members
• Help with production when requested for other church events
7. Serve with the Worship Arts Team
• Help evaluate, plan, and execute weekly worship services
• Help evaluate, plan, and execute other events such as Easter and Christmas
• Have a focus on helping people live in the Lord’s presence and helping others use their gifts as acts of worship
8. Team-Wide Ministry
• Participate fully in “all hands on deck” events
• Attend cross-team and team-wide meetings when invited
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Primary Skills Necessary:
1. Maintain a growing walk as a disciple of Jesus Christ
2. Excellent guitar player who has skill to lead and grow others
3. Excellent vocalist
4. Ability to work with a team
5. A desire to work in full-time ministry
Experience Requirements:
1. College degree preferred
2. Music Education (not necesarrily a music degree, but helpful if so)
3. Paid ministry experience preferred, but not required
4. Current church member in good standing or willingness to become a member at Ingleside
Time Required: 40+ hours per week (Typically Sunday – Thursday)
