Issa was married and had children.
The Muslim Fulani herdsmen who kidnapped Issa first demanded $62,500 (100 million naira) in ransom but accepted $3,125 (5 million naira), sources said. After that was paid, the captors demanded another $28,125 (45 million naira), an area resident told the news outlet.
Before the second ransom was paid, the body of Issa was discovered Oct. 2 in a wilderness area in Ekati, states Christian Daily-Morning Star.
