Members of The Way, Argo (formerly Deerfoot Baptist Church, Trussville), held their final worship service June 21 before closing. Members had been renting property, but contents the church owned, such as chairs, pulpit and sound equipment, were donated to a Hispanic church plant and other nearby churches. Deerfoot had been a member of Birmingham Metro Baptist Association, and The Way intended to become a member of St. Clair Baptist Association.

The Way church was formerly Deerfoot Baptist Church in Trussville and had moved to Argo and changed its name in the spring of 2025.
