Two committees, the credentials committee and the tellers committee, were appointed during the state convention’s opening session Nov. 14. The committee on committees was also named during the Tuesday sessions.
Outgoing state convention President Henry Cox announced the appointments 30 days prior to the annual meeting in accordance with bylaw requirements, but messengers had to ratify the appointments during the meeting.

Sampley, First Baptist Church, Ashville; Bill Stephens, Vernant Park Baptist Church, Foley; Bryan Wagner, Camp Springs Baptist Church, Columbia; and Neal Wyatt, First Baptist Church, Andalusia.
