After 21 years of living God’s call into full-time ministry, Pastor Larry Beauchamp is again following God’s call — this time to retirement. "The only thing I know is I’m supposed be here but I don’t know why," he said. "I call it retirement but what is the Lord going to call it?"
Beauchamp retired from the pastorate of Shiloh Baptist Church, Deer Park, in Washington Baptist Association March 18. He and his wife, Nadine, have relocated to the Dothan area.
The Foley native began his ministry later in life, after more than 20 years in the Air Force. When God called him out to serve as a pastor, Beauchamp began attending Mobile College (now the University of Mobile), graduating in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in religion. He went on to earn a master’s degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., and doctorates from Gulf Coast Seminary in Panama City, Fla., and International Bible College and Seminary in Independence, Mo.
During his ministry, Beauchamp served several churches in south Alabama, beginning with Booneville Baptist Church, Atmore, in Escambia Baptist Association.
Beauchamp is available for pulpit supply and interim work, as well as leading Bible studies and conferences. He may be reached by calling 334-899-6289 or 251-656-3249.
