“Many times we’re afraid to move ahead … because we don’t have the resources,” Donna Burris, International Mission Board missionary to Taiwan, told a group at a missions-focused dinner in Mud Creek Association.
But she said that wasn’t the case when earthquakes shook the island nation last year. Although unaware the quakes were coming, the Hokkien Harvest team was ready.
Just two days before the initial quake, the team had printed coloring books written in both English and the native language of the children who would receive these books. The books told the chronological story of the life of Christ.
Because of efforts of the Mud Creek Association, each child also received a box of crayons to color with in their new books.
“God has mightily used these,” Burris said. “We’re proud of the fact you’re in partnership with us.” (TAB)
