More than 5,000 young people are expected to attend the 15th Baptist Youth World Conference set for July 30–Aug. 3 in Leipzig, Germany.
This year’s event is called Dive Deeper, which will encourage youth from around the world to develop stronger relationships with Christ through engaging in deeper levels of commitment to Christ, studying the Bible and engaging in missions and in fellowship with other believers, with missions being the key emphasis of the event.
The event will have both collective worship and Bible study services in the morning, a concert and evening sessions with keynote speakers. There will also be small group experiences at the event, providing a forum for cultural exchange, fellowship, networking and study. Keynote speakers for this year’s event will include Edward Alabi, of Nigeria; Asha Sanchu, of Nagaland, India; and Denise de Vasconcelos Araujo, of Brazil.
Shane Claiborne and Zach Hunter, both of the United States, will also be speakers at the event.
Prior to the event and following the event’s conclusion, missions project opportunities will be available for youth to participate in throughout Germany and other areas in Europe.
