More Christian Palestinians are leaving Israel

GENEVA, Switzerland — More and more Christian Palestinians are leaving Israel to escape fighting between Israelis and Muslim Palestinians.

According to a report released by the World Council of Churches, the small population of Palestinian Christians in Israel is getting smaller because three families are emigrating out of the area every week. The report states that Christians are leaving to escape not only  violence, but also the economic depression that plagues the area.

Christians make up only 3 percent of the population of the occupied territories, and that number is steadily dropping.
