Brookwood Church, Mountain Brook, will celebrate its 40th anniversary Oct. 5, 10 a.m. There will be testimonies and special music including former music minister Jerry Brown. Former music minister Shannon Garrett will direct the choir. Other former staff members will also be present. Jim Barnette is interim pastor.
