Olive, Marjorie “Marge” Douglas

Marjorie “Marge” Douglas Olive, a Southern Baptist missionary for 36 years, died Oct. 20. She was 90.

Originally from Missouri, Olive was a graduate of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. She and her husband, Howard, spent many of their years of missions service in the Philippines. After their retirement, the couple moved to Dadeville, where they helped start Lake Martin Baptist Church in Tallapoosa Baptist Association.

Most recently, she was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church in Birmingham Baptist Association.

Olive was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, one son and one great-grandson. She is survived by three children, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. (TAB)
