First Baptist Church, Opelika, in Tuskegee Lee Baptist Association sent 21 members to Honduras July 1–8.
The group joined others from churches around the Southeast on the medical missions trip. Working in the Copán Department of Honduras, team members provided free medical care to 1,495 people. An evangelistic church service was held at the same time. There were 497 professions of faith.
Doctors, nurses, dentists, chiropractors and veterinarians offered medical services, eyeglasses and medicine. Other team members led VBS for children and a sports ministry for older boys.
