Twelfth Street Baptist Church, Gadsden, sent a team of 26 to New York City July 1–10. The team members consisted of 21 middle school, high school and college students and five adults. They worked with New York Lighthouse Baptist Church, a church plant with several locations in the area.
For four mornings, they held a Vacation Bible School at an apartment complex in Brooklyn, and their work paved the way for the apartment to now allow Bible studies for its residents. They also did prayer walking and street evangelism, as well as handing out about 2,500 fliers about the church.
