The Church at Brook Hills, Birmingham, staff change

David Platt is the new pastor of The Church at Brook Hills, Birmingham. Platt comes to Brook Hills from New Orleans Seminary, where he served as dean of chapel and assistant professor of expository preaching and apologetics. He previously served as staff evangelist at Edgewater Church, New Orleans. An Atlanta native, Platt holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens and a master of divinity, master of theology and doctor of philosophy from New Orleans Seminary. He and his wife, Heather, are expecting their first child through international adoption.
