Southern Baptists work alongside four other national Baptist conventions, which are housed under the umbrella of Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM).
These conventions include Canadian Baptists of Western Canada, the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, l’Union d’Églises Baptistes Françaises au Canada (the Convention of French Baptist Churches in Canada) and the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches.
With CBM focusing on four key concepts — leadership development, sustainable community development, pioneer outreach and global discipleship — its conventions seek to uphold and carry out intentional ministries to make these ideals realities.
Ministry projects throughout their regions include church planting, sponsorship of refugees and uprooted peoples, housing for the homeless, intercultural ministries, healthy church seminars and discipleship and children/family ministry focus.
