As part of its three-year partnership with Pastor Nasir Masih, of Punjab, India, First Baptist Church, Montgomery, in Montgomery Baptist Association sent a team of eight Feb. 17–27 to assist in ministering to a community that is less than 1 percent Christian.
The missions team dedicated two of the three churches First, Montgomery, has built there over the years; led a pastors conference in Amritsar, India; participated in evangelistic ministries; and preached in several locations across northwest India. The team also assisted with a dental clinic at Chandigarh Baptist School and helped lead outdoor meetings to draw in crowds.
“The most amazing thing was just the ability to minister to so many people,” team member Douglas McElvy said, adding they were very interested in what the team members had to say and many surrendered their lives to the Lord.
