Keith Green was 11 years old when he leaned over and whispered to Steve Allen, “I just signed a five-year contract as a rock ‘n’ roll singer.” He was on the game show “I’ve Got a Secret.” It was 1965. Though a child prodigy, Green never quite panned out as the prepubescent dreamboat Decca Records envisioned him to be. He became disillusioned and turned to drugs. Then he turned to Jesus. Christian music hasn’t been the same since.
