The North American Mission Board (NAMB) has appointed Matthew P. Jones as a US/C2 multihousing church-planting missionary based in Anniston.
In his new position, Jones will work to plant a new Southern Baptist church in west Anniston.
“God has called me to this place of ministry that just so happens to be my back yard,” he said.
“As I continue to work with the Calhoun Baptist Association, local churches and the city of Anniston, I rejoice in the opportunities ahead.”
A native of nearby Oxford, Jones attended Birmingham-Southern College. He previously served as a summer and semester missionary supported by NAMB and Calhoun Association.
Jones is a member of Grace Baptist Church, Oxford, in Calhoun Association. (NAMB)
