FBC Winfield dedicates new 1,000-seat sanctuary

Members of First Baptist Church, Winfield, in Marion Baptist Association marked a new chapter in the congregation’s 120-year history with the dedication of a new $5.3 million sanctuary. The church dedicated the building May 17 with Bobby Dubois (left) of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions bringing the message.

The dedication service marks the culmination of a campaign to expand seating capacity for the congregation while also adding new educational space. The new structure will seat almost 1,000, replacing the former sanctuary, which would hold slightly less than 500.
