FBC Graysville group quilts for Children’s Homes

For the past three years, a small group of members of First Baptist Church, Graysville, has been making an active difference in the lives of children across the state the best way it knows how: with needles. And quilts. And quilts. The fruits of its labor are donated to children at the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries (ABCH). On May 30, the group delivered 24 quilts to ABCH’s Decatur campus. Regina Thomas is an ABCH accountant. “The main reason we do it … is so the children will have one (quilt) to take away with them, something they could remember,” she said, noting a child may come to the Children’s Homes and stay one night or 30 days.
