Alabama Baptist news from the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) annual meeting was a little quicker and more vivid this year, thanks to video features, Twitter feeds and Facebook.
During the meeting in Louisville, Ky., in June, The Alabama Baptist staff posted video features nearly every day on www.thealabamabaptist.org, offering the opportunity to see Alabama Baptists lead people to Christ, lead the SBC meeting in worship and participate in the Woman’s Missionary Union missions celebration. And the paper’s presence on Twitter allowed state Baptists to follow the Great Commission Resurgence (now a task force) discussion in real time as well as receive periodic updates from sermons and other business on the convention floor.
Alabama Baptists also interacted with each other about news items coming out of the convention on the paper’s Facebook wall.
