First Baptist Church, Florence, on mission

Fifteen youth and sponsors from First Baptist Church, Florence, in Colbert-Lauderdale Baptist Association went to Charleston, W.Va., to participate in a World Changers event June 12–20.

The team members were among 325 individuals who did construction work on 35 homes. Eight professions of faith were made during the week.

The owner of the home Charles Hester, who led the team from First, Florence, worked on was one of those who made a profession of faith.

“It was an awesome week,” Hester said. “It was a wonderful week of worship and work.”
