Franklin Baptist Association on mission

Franklin Baptist Association took 86 people on a construction missions trip to Bar Nunn, Wyo., June 5–19. This was the 28th annual missions trip taken by the association.

Led by Director of Missions Larry Dover, the team included individuals from 11 of the association’s churches and others.

The team did framing and hung Sheetrock in the metal building of Bar Nunn Baptist Church — the only church in the town of 1,000.

“We felt like this is where the Lord wanted us to go. This was a way to help this church reach their community,” Dover said.

While in Wyoming, the team also did a few projects for the Wyoming Southern Baptist Convention, including constructing a garage behind its building and scraping and painting windows and doors.

Dover noted that the trip would not have been possible without the leadership of Glen Vinson, Jeff Thorn and Carolyn Vinson.
