Five members of First Baptist Church, Eufaula, in Barbour Baptist Association worked in villages in the Andes Mountains of Peru July 23–Aug. 1 to establish relationships for the purpose of witnessing.
The team did backyard Bible clubs, shared the gospel at a festival, passed out Christian tracts and New Testaments and discipled several families. Two people prayed to receive Christ.
“Because there is such a hunger for the Lord there and such a need for Him there, it’s such a wonderful place to go and you feel like you are able to see God work in a wonderful way,” said Russ Robbins, minister of education and team leader.
The team also functioned as a vision team, scoping out possibilities for a future partnership.
