Sardis Baptist Church, Boaz, on mission

Sardis Baptist Church, Boaz, in Marshall Baptist Association took 28 people to Dunbar, W.Va., July 11–17 to work with Fairlawn Baptist Church.

Led by Pastor Michael Goforth, the team began the week with a block party Sunday night.

During the daytime, the team held a Vacation Bible School and did remodeling, repairing and painting.

Fairlawn Baptist held a revival from Sunday to Wednesday with Goforth as the guest preacher. Eleven professions of faith were made during the week, including one from the Sardis Baptist team.

This was the fifth consecutive year the church has sponsored a domestic missions trip.
