Community Church, Maylene, training event and homecoming

Community Church, Maylene, and Shelby Association will hold a deacons training event Oct. 10, 8–11 a.m., with cartoonist Joe McKeever. Hugh Richardson is Shelby director of missions. Community also will celebrate homecoming Oct. 11, 11 a.m., with McKeever. A covered-dish lunch will follow the service, and special music by Frank Jones will follow lunch.
