LifeWay gives churches opportunity to make ‘splash’

NASHVILLE — There’s a new evangelism resource that has churches and individuals “splashing people with living water” — envelopes. In their December 2007 book “SPLASH: Show People Love And Share Him,” Ken and Paula Hemphill outline an evangelism strategy that encourages people to first demonstrate the gospel in their encounters with others and then to share the gospel.

Now LifeWay Envelope Service is providing custom SPLASH offering envelopes for churches. Each week a new SPLASH principle and practice is printed on the front of the envelope along with a place for members to indicate intentional and spontaneous SPLASH opportunities they engaged in during the week and professions of faith that were made as a result.

“SPLASH represents a shift in thinking by combining the best of two worlds: a practical teaching tool with the most proven and effective collection device available to churches today,” said Ben Stroup, chief broker of opportunity for LifeWay Envelope Service. “We believe this series will reinforce what the church is already teaching and empower the person in the pew to share their faith with others and practice biblical stewardship.”
