Birmingham Association special event

The churches of Birmingham Association (BBA) will hold The Gathering, its third annual worship and celebration service, Sept. 19, 6 p.m., at Green Valley Church, Hoover. There will be pre-service music and displays of BBA ministries. A mass choir and orchestra from BBA churches will perform. There also will be video testimonies highlighting cooperative missions projects. Jimmy Jackson, pastor of Whitesburg Church, Huntsville, and president of the Alabama Baptist State Convention, will speak. Mike McLemore is executive director for BBA. Bobby DuBois is interim pastor of Green Valley.
