Four Alabamians are among Southern Baptists selected to serve on the credentials and tellers committees at the upcoming Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in St. Louis, Mo., June 11-12.
Richard (Rick) Holcombe, pastor of Westwood Baptist Church, Birmingham, and James Watkins, pastor of First Baptist Church, Leroy, will serve as members of the credentials committee.
Steven Layton, minister of education and Sunday School at Lakeside Baptist Church, Birmingham, and Gregory Dawson, evangelist with The Church at Brook Hills, Birmingham, were named to the tellers committee.
