First Church, Roanoke, conference

First Church, Roanoke, will host an areawide women’s conference March 11–12. The theme will be Divine Detours — When You’re Going One Way and God Has Another Way in Mind. Debbie Childers, of First Church, Sylacauga, will speak. Donna Allen, music director for First, Roanoke, will provide special music. Registration and a reception will begin Friday at 6 p.m. The program will be at 7 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. The program will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall at noon.
