There are seven lessons every American must remember in order for our nation to thrive, according to a new book titled “We Forgot! The 7 Unlearned Lessons of 9/11” by Joe Savage, director of the University of Mobile Center for Leadership and the Twelve23 Movement.

Savage said the current national crisis is due, in part, to the American people’s failure to remember the foundational truths conveyed by our nation’s founders. The lessons in “We Forgot” are drawn from events surrounding the 1789 inauguration of George Washington and the national response following Sept. 11, 2001.
