East Liberty Baptist Association volunteers traveled to Pennsylvania to minister with Cutting Edge Ministries in Telford and Harleysville, Penn. The association took 52 youth and adults to engage in the missions work.
They helped construct a community building for the Telford Gardens Home Owners Association. In doing so they hung and finished Sheetrock, hung doors and painted walls and ceilings. Upon arrival they found only a shell of a building, its top covered in felt. They insulted the building, did the electrical work, installed vinyl siding and roofed the building.
While there they held two block parties with 190 people attending one and 340 at the other.
They stayed in a Christian camp in Sellersville, which was near the worksite. They had daily worship and testimony times that were inspiring, and they fed on delicious meals too.
On the trip home they were involved in a multi-car accident on Interstate 77 near Charlotte, N.C. Five of the group’s nine vehicles were in the accident, with three being totaled. Minor injuries resulted. The group praises God for His protection amid all things and for His blessings of their hard work on their volunteer missions trip to Pennsylvania.
