McElwain Church, Birmingham, staff anniversary

Jody Baker will celebrate 30 years of ministry at McElwain Church, Birmingham. There will be a reception in her honor Jan. 8, 3 p.m., in the fellowship hall. Baker has served as minister of education and administrator since 1996. Her grandparents owned Baker’s Dairy, which provided land for the church. R. Joseph Tricquet Jr. is pastor.
