UMobile Jazz Band to Present ‘Strike Up the Band!’

The University of Mobile Jazz Band will present “Strike Up the Band!,” featuring the music of Sammy Nestico, on April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Ram Hall on the university campus.

The band will present many of Nestico’s songs including “Alright, Okay, You Win;” “Basie Straight Ahead;” “Sweet Georgia Brown;” and “On the Sunny Side of the Street.”

Kenn Hughes, director of instrumental studies, RamCorps and the jazz band, will direct.
