Special commemorative issue

One-year anniversary of the April 27, 2011, tornadoes

The Alabama Baptist staff recently produced a 56-page, full-color special commemorative issue of the paper marking the one-year anniversary of the April 27, 2011, tornadoes using initial coverage as well as new information that has surfaced since last year.

While not every church and association could be featured due to limited space, the issue provides a comprehensive look at what took place in the state on that historically tragic day and what efforts have continued since then.

Thanks to Samford University, the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, 84 Lumber, All-State and UBS, the issues were distributed to Alabama Baptist families through all 3,200-plus Alabama Baptist churches free of charge.
