Q: How did you find out about your church?

A: One of my friends mentioned he was giving it a chance and I thought it would be a good thing for us to do, so I went with him that Sunday to visit.

Q: What made you decide to commit to the church?

A: The Sunday School lesson was the first thing; I hadn’t experienced it before, but it seemed everyone was engaged in what we were doing and excited to feel a part of the lesson. And in the church service the worship leader was full of energy and everyone was getting involved in the music, giving praise to God. … I feel His presence there. And brother Terry (Cutrer’s) messages always seem to strike home for me.

Q: What difference did being plugged into your church make during your freshman year?

A: I felt like I had another family altogether … now I have a family whether I go home or stay on campus for a weekend. … It lets me know that I’m not alone, I don’t have to hide my beliefs.
