C.B. Matthews. Bloomington, Ind.: WestBow Press, 2012. 141 pp. (Paperback).
Although the title of the book is “Fake Christianity,” author C.B. Matthews does not dwell on the negative; instead he spends most of the book describing his vision of what real Christianity should look like, holding up the counterfeit version from time to time as a contrast.
The author is obviously burdened by the superficial Christianity he encounters and the book is his attempt to “challenge, inspire, motivate and encourage the faithful to discover what true biblical Christianity means.”
The book primarily consists of stories from the author’s life and his work in campus ministry, well told and instructive.
The message of the book is clear, serving to remind the readers of who we are in Christ and what is expected of us.
