Cottage Hill Church, Mobile, new pastor

C. Alan Floyd is the new pastor of Cottage Hill Church, Mobile. He will begin Nov. 4. Floyd is a University of Mobile graduate and holds a master of divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a doctor of ministry from New Orleans Seminary. Floyd has served as pastor of First Church, Middleburg, Fla., since 1999 and previously served churches in Florida and Georgia. Floyd currently serves on the State Board of Missions for the Florida Baptist Convention and trustee for New Orleans Seminary. He also has served as president of the Florida Baptist Pastors Conference and as trustee for the Baptist College of Florida. He and his wife, Kathy, have two children.
