Dusty McLemore is someone you should know. While serving as pastor of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, Athens, during the past 12 years, he has seen the church grow from 32 total people to a membership of 1,500.

Q: To what do you attribute this growth?

A: A God-sized vision in which the people embrace and take ownership, which produces excitement and joy overflowing into an evangelistic zeal to share Christ with others. This is saturated with the preaching/teaching of God’s truths and a total dependency upon the Lord to come through.

Q: What does leading the church demand of you?

A: Commitment and dedication to trust the Lord in allowing Him to use me as His servant and leader. It demands making Christ and His church a top priority.

Q: What do you get from being a pastor?

A: Serving God and His church is a privilege and honor. I enjoy getting to serve and making an investment in others while impacting our community.

Q: What led you to serve as pastor of Lindsay Lane?

A: The high calling of God and serving a people who desired someone to lead them.

Q: How do your family members support you?

A: My wife and children are three of my greatest supporters. They’re wonderful encouragers as well as dedicated, faithful members.

Q: How do you see yourself involved in this ministry in the future?

A: The best years of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church are still ahead. My role as senior pastor  of the church has been ever-changing throughout the years. I’m more involved now in managing staff, vision casting as well as preparation of God’s Word for preaching and teaching His people.
