Medical Missions

Medical Missions

I am so grateful to you and your staff for the series of articles featured in the Jan. 3 issue of The Alabama Baptist concerning medical missions around the world, its present-day evolution and the various success stories of transitions and current strategies.

Medical missions is such a key in opening the door of peoples’ hearts because it so dramatically portrays the unconditional love of Christ to those who have never experienced this level of care for their whole person: body, soul and mind.

In particular, I profoundly thank you for running the IMB article about the Centro Medico Bautista in Asuncion, Paraguay, where I served for 12 years and continue to be involved since our departure in December 1998. I can strongly attest that God’s grace and mighty hand continues to protect and guide this effective ministry in the heart of South America.
