NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program are up 0.66 percent compared to this same time frame in 2002, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.
As of Aug. 31, 2003, the year-to-date total of $169,049,210.96 for Cooperative Program (CP) Missions is $1,107,328.43 ahead of the $167,941,882.53 received at this same point last year. For the month, receipts of $16,728,108.69 were 4.66 percent, or $744,559.01, above the $15,983,549.68 received in August 2002.
For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $169,049,210.96 is 104.21 percent of the $162,215,535.13 budgeted, or $6,833,675.83 more to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.
The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year.
