Billy Graham shares message on NYC billboard

"With all my heart, I want to leave you with truth.”

It’s a poignant message, and it’s currently displayed on a large billboard in the heart of New York City’s bustling Times Square.

The eye-catching billboard, slated to remain in that spot through Nov. 10, is there to promote a special upcoming broadcast on FOX News by evangelist Billy Graham. The broadcast is part of the My Hope America with Billy Graham initiative, a nationwide effort to reach people across the country with the gospel message by combining the impact of video programs with the power of personal relationships.

The flagship program for the My Hope event, “The Cross,” will be broadcast nationwide on FOX News on Nov. 7 — Graham’s 95th birthday — at 9 p.m. CST. Additional broadcasts of “The Cross” will continue to air on various affiliates through Nov. 10.

In the program, Graham delivers his new message, filmed from his home in North Carolina, on the meaning of the cross, according to The Christian Post.

The program also is available online or via DVD for those who wish to participate in My Hope. So far, more than 950 Alabama churches are registered for the initiative.

Participants of My Hope are encouraged to “become a Matthew” — an idea based on the gospel example of the apostle Matthew inviting people into his home to meet Jesus — by inviting neighbors and friends into their own home or other gathering place and sharing the gospel message.

During this time of fellowship, the host shows the evangelistic program featuring life-changing testimonies and powerful messages from Graham, shares his or her testimony and then asks if anyone would like to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
