Nazareth Baptist Church, Rainsville, sent 40 members of the DeKalb Baptist Association’s church choir to sing for inmates at the DeKalb County Detention Center just before Christmas, according to al.com.
The surprise Christmas concert at the Fort Payne facility was led by Pastor Rodger Graham and music minister Robert Reed. Graham then shared a gospel message.
Al.com reported that Sheriff Jimmy Harris, who attends Nazareth Baptist, said he is proud of the members of his church for taking time to “bring such a blessing to the men and women” at the detention center.
