NASHVILLE — Beth Moore, a popular author and Bible teacher, will lead her first Internet-only Bible study, “Believing God,” this fall, available from LifeWay Christian Resources’ church resources division. Based on the weekly Living Proof Bible studies Moore leads at her church, First Baptist in Houston, the 10-session series will begin Sept. 26.
The “Believing God” study is about how Christians can deepen their belief in God, Moore said. “We’ll study lives such as Abraham and Moses and Joshua. And we’re going to learn what it means to believe God, to believe He’s who He says He is and that He can do what He says He can do,” she said in a video describing the Internet concept.
LifeWay is taping Moore’s Bible study sessions at the Houston church and then putting them on the Internet in both streaming video and audio format for viewing or listening to from home computers. Starting with the Sept. 26 launch date, a new session will be posted on the Internet at www.lifeway.com/BelievingGod each Thursday for 10 weeks. Pre-registration for the sessions began Aug. 1. For a one-time fee, those who register receive an ID and password allowing them to log into the weekly sessions. The fee includes online discussion boards, study tools that include various Bible translations, printable listening and leader guides and session homework.
“Believing God” participants will need an Internet connection with a Windows Media Player, which can be downloaded to a PC or Mac for free at the “Believing God” Web site.
