Church uses Turkey Rodeo to minister to hunters

Participants in the second annual Turkey Rodeo on April 9 at Friendship Baptist Church, Springville, fellowship after the turkey hunt and weigh-in. A gospel presentation was given by state missionary Billy Harris, part-time associate in the office of evangelism at the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. This year’s event saw five men come back from the hunt with turkeys. Pastor Roger White said the event is a way the St. Clair Baptist Association church tries to reach out to men during turkey season.
