He may have played for presidents and Hollywood royalty and his musical talent may have garnered him worldwide invitations, but on Sept. 23 Randall Atcheson immersed a home crowd with “his sport.”
The Maplesville native entertained a full house at First Baptist Church, Birmingham, with a variety of classical, sacred, popular and patriotic pieces — most of which had a special story attached.
He shared about growing up with a street preacher father, how he discovered his love for the piano and the influence mentors and special friends have had on his life.
Atcheson — known for his flashy jackets, shoes and socks — also described his near-death experience as a young man and how that experience led him to spend his life pointing people to Christ. (TAB)
