Seventh Street Baptist pastor dies at 70
Samuel W. Davidson, pastor of Seventh Street Baptist Church, Bessemer, died Sept. 10. He was 70 years old.
At the time of his death, he had been faithfully serving Seventh Street Baptist for the past 19 years.
Barry Cosper, associational missionary/director of missions for Bessemer Baptist Association, said Davidson “had such an evangelistic heart that was complemented by his commitment to missions.”
“Bro. Sam was a dedicated man of God who loved his Lord, his family and his church,” Cosper said. “He was such an inspiration not only to his church but also to the Bessemer Baptist Association. He will be greatly missed by his community as well as the Bessemer Baptist Association.”
Davidson is survived by his wife, Brenda; sons, Danny and John; daughter, Lori; and 10 grandchildren. (TAB)
