The Killers are a great band. Abandon sounds exactly like The Killers. They look like The Killers, and they like each other — they’re almost all brothers and cousins. Abandon is a great band. They’ve woven sugary, face-to-the-sky vocals, “We Are the World” choruses, synthesizers and layer after layer of great, pulsating rock ‘n’ roll tightly together for six great songs on their debut self-titled EP for Forefront Records, which has to be patting itself on the back. Abandon should be around for a while.
