All three Alabama Baptist colleges have been named to the “America’s Best Christian Colleges” list.
Judson College in Marion, Samford University in Birmingham and the University of Mobile are three of only 119 colleges and universities nationwide receiving the designation for the 2010–11 academic year.
Institutional Research & Evaluation (IRE) Inc. selected the highlighted schools from a pool of 332 Christian higher education institutions based on which provide the highest educational quality in a Christian environment, according to Lewis T. Lindsey Jr., president of IRE Inc.
The independent research and consulting organization, which specializes in the recruiting and retention of students for institutions of higher education, compiled the annual listing based on analysis and review of its 20th Annual National College Survey. (TAB/UM)
